Why we charge what we do
The safety tier is genuinely free because the people who need it most often can't afford a subscription. Storage, bandwidth, support, and audit costs are real, and Plus covers those. The Protect-a-Survivor tier lets someone with means support someone without. And the founding-member price is a promise, not a promotion: the first 25,000 users pay half price for as long as their subscription stays active.
Honest commitments
- You can cancel any paid plan at any time and keep what you've captured. We don't lock you out of content stored on Free or paid.
- You can export everything, including your encrypted blobs and recipient metadata, before you cancel.
- If you stop paying, your account becomes a Free account after a 3-month grace period. Nothing is deleted at downgrade.
- Scheduled deliveries are honored for up to 2 years after your account goes quiet — even on Free. If a Safe's release date is further out than that, you choose when you seal it: release early at the 2-year mark, or don't release at all. On a paid plan, we hold your Safe until its date. Period.
- Releasee-triggered Safes don't wait on any clock — the people you chose can release them the moment they're needed.
- Empty accounts — no Safes, no content, nothing scheduled — are removed after 2 years of inactivity, with repeated warnings first.
- If we ever raise prices on existing customers, you'll have a year of advance notice and the option to lock in the old price.
- If we shut down, your Pending Releases fire on schedule before the lights go out, and we'll publish a wind-down plan with at least 90 days of notice.
